For once, I actually got to be a part of the audience of a magic show, instead of the guy on stage. Penn & Teller, two of my all-time favorite magicians in the whole world, performed their fantastic stage magic show at The Winstar World Casino and Hotel in Oklahoma. They absolutely blew me away with their magic, and I got to meet Penn Jillette in person for the first time! Of course, THAT photo didn't turn out, thanks to a stranger that didn't know how to push a button on a camera. But I have some great memories of the event, and the Winstar Hotel went out of their way to make my stay an enjoyable one. I will definitely be going back to attend more shows there.
I just attended an awesome magic lecture by famous Japanese magician Shoot Ogawa, who visited the Dallas Magic Club to share some of his favorite secrets. I especially appreciated his version of the Chinese Linking Rings, which he calls "The Ninja Rings". He is one of the few magicians that can perform the classic linking ring trick with an audience volunteer holding the rings! If you know how it works, you can appreciate how amazing that is.
