For once, I actually got to be a part of the audience of a magic show, instead of the guy on stage. Penn & Teller, two of my all-time favorite magicians in the whole world, performed their fantastic stage magic show at The Winstar World Casino and Hotel in Oklahoma. They absolutely blew me away with their magic, and I got to meet Penn Jillette in person for the first time! Of course, THAT photo didn't turn out, thanks to a stranger that didn't know how to push a button on a camera. But I have some great memories of the event, and the Winstar Hotel went out of their way to make my stay an enjoyable one. I will definitely be going back to attend more shows there.
Just attended a fantastic magic lecture here in Dallas by an old friend, Axel Hecklau, a magician from Germany best known for "Newsflash", his instant torn and restored newspaper trick that he shared with us, along with many other amazing effects. My favorite was his "Knife Through Solid Spoon", pictured here. We also learned a really cool way to make a paper rose to give out as a gift.
